Official Logo of the 100% KATOLIKONG PINOY this 2010
Explanation for the logo: Wave: The wave is shaped like the number 3, meaning the 3 years of 100% KATOLIKONG PINOY's journey. It is also colored blue to mimic the color of the Internet Explorer logo, thus the wave is also a symbol of the cyberspace. The color blue is also a color of tranquility, yet the gesture of the wave seems to be threatening. Simultaneously it symbolizes both trouble and peace.
All in all, it means the 3 years peaceful/turbulent journey of the 100% KATOLIKONG PINOY! in the internet.
The blue wave also mimics the letter "M", meaning Mother Mary (with the color blue as the Marian color), the patroness of the group, is the one carrying the group to the direction it is going, in the guidance of the wind (Holy Spirit) . The boat journey echoes also the sea journey of San Lorenzo Ruiz, the group's patron saint.
Boat: The hull seems to be in a wear and tear condition due maybe to the waves and to the other elements of the sea. But the boat can still float for a further journey. The wear and tear are the various attacks the 100% KATOLIKONG PINOY had endured for years, from anti-catholics, atheists and even personal lapses.
The boat is in a slanted position. Yet in the logic of the picture the boat is in no way going downward. With the look of it the boat is about to be pushed FORWARD ahead.
In another perspective, the hull looks like a slate of rock. This is vital for the church is founded upon a rock. Being a rock, it does not sink, for the "gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it" (Matt. 16:19) The rock's color is brown, designating the Filipino color.
Upon the rocklike boat is the cross. The cross is Jesus Christ, and similarly, the Church (The Body of Christ). Christ is always with us throughout our journey.
